    1832 FREE MAIL LONGLEAT HOUSE, WILTS TO CHARD WITH 'WARMINSTER' HAND STAMP (WL777). Letter sent free mail from Longleat House in Wiltshire to 'Thos. Edwd. Clarke Esqre, Chard' dated March 30th 1832 and signed at lower left 'Bath', on reverse good to fine strike 'WARMINSTER' horseshoe style hand stamp in black (WL777), only recorded in use 1832-33. Letter also signed 'Bath'.... 'I enclose the notification from the Secretary of State that the Training the Militia is dispensed with this year. I shall be obliged to you to acquaint the Colonels of the 2 Regiments....'. (Ref 131963).
