Wrapper, hinge re-enforcement of small tear, from Liverpool to 'John Harrison Esq, Post Office, Worthing' with good to fine 1d black pl.4 (SG2) lettered RD with four very close but clear to very large margins and tied fine strike red Maltese cross of Liverpool. On front fine large part strike of the rare 'Woolton/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (L547), filing fold well clear of stamp and hand stamp. On reverse 'LIVERPOOL' date stamp AU 25 1840. (Ref 131995).
